Common Colds: Lemon is a good source of Vitamin C. This Vitamin is the recommended supplement to fight common colds and related ailments. The fiber and plant components in lemon are also known to help lower the risk of heart disease

Anemia: Lemons help humans prevent Anemia by improving the absorption of iron from plant sources. Humans have no problems absorbing iron from animal sources like chicken, fish and meat. However, that is not the case with plant sources. So taking more Vitamin C from lemon and other sources helps fill this gap.
